In the first week you will learn how to use and set up the various camera and processing apps. You will be taught how to use processing apps to crop, rotate, frame and even grunge your image. You will have a better understanding to the capabilities of the apps and when to use them.
Assignment: Capture 5 images using the Sense of Place theme outlined above and process those images using the apps explained. Submit at the end of the week. Don't be afraid to play.

This week you will expand your knowledge with a couple new camera and processing apps.  You will be encouraged to know the apps well, so you  won't just repeat the same processes over and over again. Through encouragement and play  you will create mood and add character to your images.  A few 'just for fun' techniques will be shown to mix things up. Next, you will be shown how to add frames of varying sizes and colors to your images. Also you will learn how to share your images with friends, family and the world.
Assignment: Just like last week capture 5 images using the Sense of Place theme outlined above, however try to create a feeling or mood throughout this series.

Week 3: Stitching and Retouching

A good way to make a great impression is to create a multiple stitched image. There are important steps that need to be taken to create such an image. These steps will be explained so you understand how to create both long panoramas and large, up to 18mb, images. You will also be shown which app will make those unsightly telephone wires disappear, almost like magic.
Assignment: Capture 5 images using the Sense of Place theme. Think bigger and wider when capturing the images this week. Practice the technique of stitching.

Week 4: Blend, Blend, Blend
A few more important apps that assist you with blending will be introduced this week. Time will be spent experimenting with different blending modes. It's important to not be inhibited during this learning process. In this final week an app that makes your images look like a painting will be explained. To wrap up, you will be given a list of websites that will continue to inspire the iPhoneography artist in you.

Student Comments:
I just completed a class in iPhoneography with Teri Lou on-line.  In 4 weeks she has presented us with challenging assignments that allowed us to really learn the apps.  There were tutorials for each of the apps covered.   In addition, Teri Lou called each week after we turned in each assignment and we had at least a 1/2 hr telephone conference with her.  The feedback was thoughtful and ideas were offered for additional uses of each app, or combinations of apps to use.  All my questions were answered in the tele conference or by email.  I'm sorry the class is over, but I have the thorough tutorials to refer to plus my notes taken during each tele conference.

Teri's passion for iPhoneography is contagious.  I look forward to future classes and workshops with her.

I first came across Teri Lou's class from a friend who asked me if I had created the montage piece on my iphone.  I had no idea what she was talking about but the idea that I could create something similar to my photoshop work on my phone was intriguing.  She referred me to Teri Lou and off I went.  Teri exposed me to many apps and opened pandora's box for me.  I haven't stopped for a second since then and I thank Teri for getting me going and her expertise in this area.
